Comedian and motivational speaker, Shayla Rivera, named "Funniest Latina Comedian" by the prestigious organization "Latin 2015", will host the Celebration.   Laugh it up with an evening full of great fun and humor as this hilariously funny comedian shares her transition from rocket scientist at NASA to the comedy stage.  Shayla has appeared on Comedy Central, Comics Unleashed, and has been on Military Comedy Tours around the world, including Iraq.  Shayla hosted the TV series "You're Not the Man I Married" for the Lifetime Real Women Network.   A former aerospace engineer, Shayla is now known as the Funny Rocket Scientist.

Together, a highly talented eleven member band with diversified musical styles from pop to rhythm and blues to big band and Latin rock, will perform. Together has performed before the President and Vice President of the United States.  Together has provided the entertainment at the Chicago Bulls personal championship victory party, the Chicago Blackhawks playoffs, and the Miss USA Coronation Ball 2001 and 2002.  Together, with its very own extraordinary and unique sound, performs regularly at the Skyline Stage at Navy Pier, the Taste of Chicago, Viva Chicago, and the Pan American Fest.

Our Special Guest Celebrity will be Tejano Music Hall of Fame Inductee Johnny Hernandez.  For nearly five decades this music legend has packed the largest venues along with his brother Little Joe, and their band La Familia.  Johnny Hernandez has also performed with other music greats including Santana, Los Tigres del Norte, and Willie Nelson.
