Student Leadership Series in Cleveland

USHLI, the nation's premier organization training 21st century leaders, is bringing its Student Leadership Series to over 1,000 high school students in Cleveland on Friday, November 18.  The event will be held at Lincoln West High School.

Northeast Speakers

Mena Badros, one of the top motivational speakers in the CoolSpeak organization, will be the keynote speaker at the opening session on Friday morning.  He has addressed thousands of students throughout the nation.

In addition to hearing a top motivational speaker, students will attend workshops on what they need to know about post-secondary education or training, nutrition and healthy living, leadership development, overcoming challenges to academic success, and financial aid/literacy.  They will also have the opportunity to visit with recruiters representing vocational, technical, community college, and 4-year academic institutions in the immediate vicinity and branches of the military.  Students will receive a CD containing a list of scholarships available to all students whether they are citizens, legal residents, or undocumented.  This event will serve to ensure that high school students begin to envision and understand the process and requirements for pursuing the kind of post-secondary education of their choice.
