With the support of Chivas Regal, USHLI recently sponsored its first Parent Leadership Training workshop in New York. The training was held at Hostos Community College and conducted by Consuelo Castillo Kickbusch, Ernesto Mejia, Carlos Ojeda, Jr., and Rev. Felix Carrión.


The second of three planned workshops will be held in San Bernardino, CA on Saturday, November 12. The training will again be conducted by Consuelo Castillo Kickbusch and will enable parents to learn more about:
- How to provide more effective leadership within the family
- How to help their children do better in school and succeed
- How to budget and manage their family income
- How to develop more effective parenting skills
- How to become more effective role models for their children
- How to involve the entire family in obtaining a better education
