This is the face of the person whose name has been spelled out on keyboards around the country for saying, according to news sources and the Kansas legislative record, "It looks like to me that shooting these immigrating feral hogs works - maybe we have found a solution to our illegal immigration problem."   The feral hog or wild swine population is controlled by hunters shooting them from helicopters. 

This is the face of a person who embodies the ignorance, hate speech, and bigotry that has turned any semblance of civil discourse on immigration reform into a cesspool of vile and despicable language and spineless political posturing.

This is the face of a person whose arrogance incites race-based violence, anti-immigrant hostilities, and dehumanizes an entire segment of our population with impunity.

This is the face of a person who represents what is wrong in America today - what is wrong with our political leaders, with our national conscience, with our sense of decency and humanity, and with our hearts as a nation.

I salute SOMOS REPUBLICANOS for being the first ones to condemn this Kansas legislator.  He should be censured by the Legislature for disgracing his office and the House of Representatives, rebuked by the Governor of Kansas, investigated by the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice, and while there is no evidence to suggest that he has the decency or self-respect needed to do so - he should resign. 

And until he resigns, leaders in Kansas including clergy, business, labor, community based organizations, immigrant advocacy groups, elected officials and other allies should stage a protest at the state capitol every day that he continues his disservice to the people of Kansas.
