USHLI Spotlights Keynote Speakers |
USHLI announces two more featured speakers scheduled to address our 28th national conference. Carlos Ojeda, Jr., rated as one of the top motivational speakers in the nation under 35 years of age, will address high school students, teachers, and counselors attending our Latino Youth Leadership Rally on Wednesday morning, February 17. Carlos has shared his powerful story with audiences at conferences from coast-to-coast, inspiring thousands to believe in themselves and chase their dreams. He is truly one of the most talented and dynamic speakers in America today.
 Addressing our Latinos and Labor Unity Breakfast on Friday, February 19, will be Arlene Holt-Baker, the Executive Vice President of the AFL-CIO. Her experience as a union and grassroots organizer spans more than 30 years. Holt-Baker is the first African American to be elected to one of the federation's three highest offices and is the highest ranking African-American woman in the union movement. In her position, she builds on her legacy of inspiring activism and reaching out to diverse communities to support the needs and aspirations of working people.
