USHLI Partners with Freddie Mac and Conducts 80 CreditSmart Espaņol Financial Literacy Seminars
Financial LiteracyFreddie Mac, USHLI and several other national Latino organizations created a partnership to offer CreditSmart Espaņol, a bilingual financial literacy program, to Latino college students, grassroots community leaders, and local public officials. Thousands of participants have been trained throughout the country.  In the last seven months alone, USHLI has conducted 80 seminars and trained over 1,500 participants. (photos)

CreditSmart Espaņol seminars include training on building and maintaining good credit, good money management practices, setting financial goals, avoiding credit traps, becoming a homeowner, homeownership protection and mortgage foreclosure prevention, and more. All participants receive a CreditSmart Espaņol manual.

USHLI offers CreditSmart Espaņol in conjunction with our leadership development programs and our regional and national conferences, but seminars for local groups and organizations are also provided.
