USHLI Conference Deadline Alert
The following is a friendly reminder from Dr. Juan
Andrade to all USHLI alumni and friends.
If you are planning to attend our 26th annual national
conference and haven't made your lodging
arrangements, please remember that you have only
until Wednesday, January 30, to reserve your room(s)
at our discount rate of only $99 per night
for students. You are allowed to have up to four
persons per room. Our non-student rate is $119 per
night, also up to four persons per room.
To make your reservation at the Sheraton Chicago
Hotel & Tower, please call (312) 329-7000. If you are
denied a reservation for any reason, please get the
name of the person who denied your reservation and
contact USHLI immediately toll free at
1-800-959-5151.
There is also still time to register for the conference
online at www.ushli.org. Registration rates are
as
follows: $125 per student in groups of 10 or more;
$140 for individual students; $150 per non-student in
groups of 10 or more; and, $170 per non-student
individuals.

participants can expect:
February 13 - release of our 5th edition of The
Almanac of Latino Politics 2008
February 14 - 3,000 high school students,
teachers and counselors will attend our Career Day
and College Recruitment Fair
February 14-15 - participants will be able to
attend our Exhibit Show featuring our first health and
naturalization fair
February 15 - participants will enjoy our
exciting breakfast, lunch and dinner programs with
great speakers in addition to highly interactive
workshops and forums, and a dance to conclude our
first full day
February 16 - participants will enjoy our
exciting breakfast, lunch and dinner programs with
great speakers in addition to highly interactive
workshops and forums, and a dance to conclude our
second full day
February 17 - participants will enjoy
our "open-mic" closing session and "breakfast on the
run"
