Hello! In this week's email I will provide information about the FIUTS Orientation Program for new international students and scholars at the University of Washington. This email will focus on the Orientation Social Events that you will have a chance to participate in.

You should have received an email last week about the Greeting Table, Opening Day and Information Sessions. Didn't receive it, or need to look it over again? (Click here to read previous e-mails.).

With over 15 events, you will get a chance to experience Seattle all while getting to know other new and current UW students.

Orientation social events planned by FIUTS are designed to introduce you to opportunities available in Seattle. Some of the social events that you will have the opportunity to join during orientation are: Community and Student Barbecue, Overnight Camp, a tour of the Space Needle and Dinner Out, FIUTS MiniWorld Cup Soccer Tournament, Dim Sum Brunch and Shopping Trip, International Rotary Boat Cruise and more. In order to participate in social events, we ask that you sign up in advance for the events that interest you. Some events have a fee that can be paid with either cash, check or traveler's check. You can sign up and pay for these events during the Greeting Table, on Opening Day, September 11th or in the FIUTS office (HUB 302B) during office hours. Space is limited so we encourage students to sign up as early as possible. Once you have signed up and paid for an event you will be given a ticket and receipt for the event. You will need to show your ticket on the day of the event so please put them in a safe place.

If you require any refunds you will need to provide your receipt. Refunds for events must all be done in the FIUTS office.
