Locals See An Economic Upswing |
El Dorado Hills chamber members took to the streets last week, clipboards in hand, geeky name tags stuck to our chests, to take the pulse of the local business community.
Yes, it still has one - and it's beating loudly.
The stated goal of the "Biz Walk" was to give local businesses a voice; to provide a connection between the business community and those with the tools and resources to help solve problems.
Local businesses are still struggling in the face of the lingering recession, but last week's pavement pounders discovered an optimistic business community that likes where they're located.
Final results won't be in for several weeks, but Chamber President Debbie Manning predicted this year's survey would be more positive than last year, when a surprising 50 percent of respondents reported business as "good or great."
