You may notice a slight shift of emphasis in my newsletters these days. After fifty years of hectic but enjoyable day-to-day adventures in the business world, I finally decided to slow down a bit and quit the daily rush of entrepreneurship. Nowadays I spend more time on the computer, and virtually no time on the freeways. I will never "retire" -- the very thought of lounging around, not working on something fascinating and challenging, sends chills up and down my spine.
It's a nice feeling. I can work on my next novel and help other authors edit and publish their books. Many say everyone has a book inside himself -- could be. Most don't ever get around to it however, mainly because of daily pressures to keep up with the business-world merry-go-round.
Today's publishing world, so vastly different from the controlled publishing industry of less than a decade ago, makes it possible for everyone who really wants to write and publish a professional-looking book to do so at minimal cost. Computers and creative business entrepreneurs have made this possible.
I find great pleasure in helping wannabe authors. I edit their books and publish them. I also ghost-write entire books for people who don't have the time or talent to actually sit down and write a book. Some want to record their memoirs for posterity. Others want to create a novel for the world of readers to enjoy. Some want to pass on their business experiences. Others want to create email newsletters. I am helping them all, and I enjoy every minute of it!
