Can you hook your TV & PC together with each other?
Lots of activity is going on among many major companies trying to capture the promised market of joining your TV with your computer. At present, most of the major players are offering many different products -- none of which is ideal, and could become obsolete soon.
The TiVo DVR works well to record programs, but it does not allow you to hook up to your computer. The rest of the products try to combine the two, including streaming NetFlix movies to you. The problem, however, is there is no standard, and the technical details are moving too fast.
My advice: Wait! Wait for the marketplace to settle down. Meanwhile, continue to use your TV as a TV and your computer as a computer.

What's Happening Re: E-Book Readers? .....No. 4 in a series The experts now tell us that more than half the books read during the next ten years will be E-books. Amazon already sells more E-books than printed books. Of course paperbacks and hard cover books will always be with us, but the percentage of printed versus E-books is plunging rapidly.
Forrester Research projects that nearly 60 million consumers will pay more than $2.8 billion for E-books in 2015 -- up from 17.6 million people spending $966 million this year. But only about half of all those book lovers will be turning digital pages on a dedicated E-reader -- with the rest turning to computers, smartphones, and tablets. If you want to create a book, as a sales promotion tool for example, but are unwilling to risk paying for printing hundreds or thousands of copies to have on hand to pass out, it makes a lot of sense to utilize digital Print On Demand and also E-books. The Print On Demand books can be produced only as sold, with no inventory requirement. The E-books can be produced at little or no cost and sent to people via email at no cost (just a few moments of your time). The same material can be included in both if desired.
Think about it. The whole syndrome of promotional material being delivered to your friends, customers or prospects has changed. Gone are the days when you had to print a lot of direct mail newsletters, ads, booklets, etc. and spend a lot of money on postage to mail them. Today, using the Internet, you can distribute and/or sell books directly to a targeted audience, with no printing cost and no postage cost. ____________________________________________________________________________
