Yes, this issue of the Jordan newsletter is printed in green and orange. It's in honor of St. Patrick's Day of course. The Irish celebration is coming up in less than two weeks.
I'm half Irish and half Scotch myself. The Irish half of me loves to be with happy people, and talk a lot, and party and spend money. The Scotch genes in my brain say "Stop you fool! Shut up and save your money." The two will never agree I fear.
Anyway, Happy St. Pat's Day to you, whatever your heritage happens to be.
I'm currently in the midst of writing two books - one fiction and one non-fiction.
The non-fiction, aimed at entrepreneurs, will hopefully bring in some bucks, but the novel is basically being written just because I want to write it. It's another love story, but totally different from my
previous novel which was published last year. Different people, different setting, different time period, completely different story.
Each of the books gets attention only during the brief lull periods in between ghost writing for clients and doing the hundreds of errands and chores necessary to survive daily life. As a result, I cannot promise you when they will be finished, but my New Year's Resolution Numerous Uno was to finish and publish both this year.
I never intended and do not intend, to publish a Blog. This column is as close as I will get to doing one. There's too much work to do keeping a blog fresh - if you don't write often and post often, a blog drops off the radar screen in a big hurry. I do keep up with the latest rage - Social Media. Dozens of people have advised me to join MySpace, YouTube, Squidoo, Twitter, or some of the hundreds of other Internet chat opportunities. I won't promise. So far, I've given in to Linked-In and a couple of authors' groups online. I can't help but wonder when the eager social media crowd of enthusiasts ever have time to do any work.
Any time you want to discuss writing, publishing, business promotion, making money or the state of the Universe, call me or
email me. I'd love to examine ideas with you. Meantime, if you have written an article you think people would enjoy reading, send it to me and I just might publish it in a future newsletter.
