WARNING! Only 300+ shopping days
left before Christmas 2008!
It's time to plan now what to do next year to bring in
new sales and solidify old customers!
Write A Book? Me? Now? You've Got To Be Kidding -- You Don't Know How Busy I Am! |
 |
You want to write a book; you know it would boost
your credibility, but you just can't find the
time. How about hiring a ghost writer..... Even if
you don't
write a book in 2008 (with or without a
ghost writer), now is the ideal time to think about what
you would say in a book if you did write
one. You
can jot down a summary outline of the points you
want to make, then refine it down to a check list. The
check list can be a valuable "To-Do" list
for your
reference in planning your business (and personal)
activities during the first quarter of
2008.
By
creating
such a list, you force yourself to think about what's
really important. You might even find
yourself
meditating! Meditating, of course, is one of the
most
powerful things you can do, right alongside exercise
and a proper diet. Most successful people meditate
on a regular basis.
Life presents us with many, many changes and
challenges, so our
plans must be updated continuously. All the while,
let's not lose sight of the ultimate goals we have in
mind. Notice the plural "goals" -- we all have
multiple
goals. The challenge is to re-assign priorities, on a
daily basis, to the tasks that will make those goals
come true. To make those goals come true, it is
mandatory to
think positively -- think BIG -- and follow through with
what your heart tells you. You might be amazed at
what can happen.

Betcha' Didn't Know .... |

The population of India is about 1.1 billion, and is
growing by just over 18 million a year. Based on its
present 1.6 percent growth rate, it looks like India will
surpass China to become the world's most
populous
country by 2050.
Ten years ago, there were no cell phones in India.
This year, there are 80 million. According to an
International Data Corp. survey, that number is set to
hit 500 million by 2010.
India is home to two remarkable bridges: - The
Bailey Bridge. Located between the
River Dras and the River Suru in the Himalayan
Mountains, the Bailey is the world's highest
bridge. It's
only about 100 feet long, but is 18,379 feet above sea
level.
- The Howrah Bridge. Spanning Hooghly
River in West Bengal, the Howrah Bridge links the city
of Howrah to its "twin" city Kolkata. 400,000
pedestrians and 150,000 vehicles cross this
landmark every day, giving it the distinction of being
the world's busiest bridge.

10 Commandments for Powerful Promotional Writing |
 |
Commandment #1 - Know Your Audience
Who is this email going to? Picture the "average"
person on your list. Give them a name, even. Think
about what their day is like. Think about what is
important to them. What are they passionate about?
How old are they? What products or services have
they purchased from you in the past and why? The
more you know about the audience you are writing for,
the more targeted and relevant your copy will be.
Commandment #2 - Determine Your Value
Proposition
Answer these questions to determine what your value
proposition is: Why should your customer buy your
product or service? What's in it for them? Why is your
product better than the one down the street? What are
your key differentiators?
Commandment #3 - Find a Unique Selling
Proposition (USP) .........

Conscience is what makes a small boy tell his dad
before his sister does.
When you go into court, you are putting yourself in the
hands of 12 people who weren't smart enough to get
out of jury duty.

7 Things You May Have Never Thought
About
1. When you think the world has turned its back on
you, take a good look; you most likely turned your back
on the world.
2. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is
because they want to be just like you.
3. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone,
even if they don't like you.
4. When you make the biggest mistake ever,
something good comes from it.
5. When you think you have no chance of getting what
you want. You probably won't get it.
But if you believe in yourself, sooner or later, you will
probably get it.
6. Always remember the compliments you received
and forget about the rude remarks.
7. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them
know they are great.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAVE A GREAT 2008 |

Hank's Thoughts |
|
It has been gratifying to find out that my new novel
"No More An Island" is already selling well in
the USA, Canada and Japan.
Published last month by Infinity Publishing in
Pennsylvania, most of the sales activity so far has
been via the Internet.
Although the book is listed to 55,000 book stores, it
may take some time for individual book stores to stock
it. Most
of the action is through Amazon.com,
BarnesandNoble.com, Borders.com, Target.com, and
others on the web.
The book ships immediately from
www.NoMoreAnIsland.com.
It would make an ideal Christmas present, especially
for parents, grandparents and curious baby boomers
who like to read for pleasure.
It appeals to
mature women, men, and younger folks.
The novel is set in the time period 1920-1941, and is
a story about life in a Southern town as it really was --
quite
different from what Hollywood would have us believe.
To find out all about it visit nomoreanisland.com. I'll
gladly autograph it for you.
Distribution is critical in the
publishing
business as
well as all other business endeavors.
If you have a book, or if you are contemplating writing
one, contact me for a complimentary
