A Message From Your ACHE of Massachusetts President
Dear ACHE of Massachusetts Members,
Hopefully everyone is enjoying this wonderful Summer and able to take much needed vacation time.
On July 19, 2011, The Program Committee successfully orchestrated the inaugural Breakfast with Healthcare Champions Series. The goal of the breakfast series is to feature some of healthcare's most distinguished and influential leaders. Ellen Zane, President and CEO of Tufts Medical Center, was the Series' first healthcare leader to present on the topic of Leadership and the Art of a Hospital Turn Around.
The Program was held at Tufts Medical Center and was a tremendous success! Ellen's presentation was a smash hit and the audience of over 130 healthcare professionals, was awed by her comments and insights on leadership.
Congratulations to Austin Chang of Lowell General the winner of the breakfast meeting evaluation gift certificate.
I look forward to seeing you at our Fall Conference.

Early Careerist Network
Dear Colleagues,
With Summer upon us, the Early Careerist Network of ACHE of Massachusetts has focused its efforts on giving back to the community. In June, we held our first community service event, raising $470 and preparing dinner for a group of 110 women and children at Rosie's Place in Boston. We anticipate that this will be the first of many volunteer activities to come.
Red Sox Game To demonstrate that professional development and networking activities can be both fun and professionally nurturing, the Early Careerist Network kicked-off the first annual ACHE of Massachusetts Red Sox outing on July 26th. Forty young professionals watched the Red Sox take on the Kansas City Royals from Fenway Stadium's Right Field Roof Deck.
2011/2012 Mentorship Program
Finally, the 2011-2012 mentorship matches are expected to be announced by the first week of August. Thanks to all of you who have agreed to participate.

Would you Like to Get More Involved with ACHE? - Call for Regent
Message from Andrea Paciello, FACHE - ACHE Regent, MassachusettsMy three-year term as ACHE Regent for Massachusetts is coming to an end, and ACHE is seeking candidates for the next Regent to represent Massachusetts. I can tell you from personal experience that serving the College, our chapter board, and our local membership as Regent has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career to date. The ACHE staff are terrific to work with and make things easy, the role provides a great opportunity to network with Regents and chapter presidents from across the country, and it's been wonderful to get to know many of our own members here in Massachusetts. The link below contains the details on how to throw your hat in the ring, and if you are interested in learning more, please contact me soon. I am happy to answer any questions you have about the Regent role or experience.
