NEFA GRANTEE SPOTLIGHT

Congratulations to Fern Cunningham, a 2010 NEFA Public Art Connections grant recipient! Cunningham's sculpture, The Value of a Life, was recently installed at Clarence "Jeep" Jones Park in Roxbury, MA. The bronze sculpture explores youth violence and the value of life. Cunningham collaborated with the Roxbury Action Program and many community members. The "Books of Life and Hope" surrounding the children are cast from pages made by community members in workshops led by Cunningham.

THE PUBLIC ART ARCHIVE
| |
Help put New England's public art and artists on the map by contributing your public art project(s) to The Public Art Archive™, a searchable database of public art in the United States developed by the Western States Arts Federation, NEFA's sister regional arts organization. The database increase artists' exposure, assists administrators with managing and promoting their collections, and augments educational initiatives for the general public.
The Public Art Archive™ is the sister project of WESTAF's CaFÉ system, an online application and adjudication system that is one source for the many public art calls listed in NEFA's public art forum.
