We are pleased to see that CultureCount data is being put to good use in the region! The New England Museum Association cited CultureCount data for their Economic Impact Statement, which the American Association of Museums posted as an example for other museums to use as an advocacy tool to communicate with legislators and funders. A Connecticut columnist for the Norwich Bulletin also mentioned NEFA's 2011 report on nonprofit sector impact.

New England creative communities continue to make headlines...

Citing a recent burst of activity in cultural districts as a strategy for local economic development, the National Association of State Arts Agencies issued an updated State Cultural Districts Policy Brief.
The Nonprofit Finance Fund published the results of their 2012 State of the Nonprofit Sector Survey and highlighted the results for national arts nonprofits, noting that a large majority of those in the arts saw increased demand for services in 2011 and expect the same in 2012.
An international report titled Creative Intersections: Partnerships between the Arts, Culture, and Other Sectors reported on which sectors have seen successful collaborations, how partnerships form, and positive and negative aspects of partnering across sectors.
