We spent a wonderful day down in Bridgeport, CT, on June 24 for "Making the Leap to Public Art" with Lynn Basa. Thanks to all who attended; we are thrilled that with your help, NEFA continues to forge public art connections throughout the region!

The June 2011 Public Art Discussion Series with the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism is now complete, so stay tuned for the announcement of our exciting fall series in the August Bulletin.  To learn more about these acclaimed events, visit the Public Art Discussion Series section of the NEFA website today!

GET TO KNOW THE URBAN ARTS INSTITUTE

The Urban Arts Institute at Massachusetts College of Art and Design works to promote excellence in public art and design.  This mission is accomplished through services which facilitate public art and design projects, through educational programs for professionals and students, and through public policy advocacy.

If you don't have Urban Arts (and the professional services they provide) on your radar, then now is your chance!  Their website is chock-full of links to public art resources, including the Institute's very own Artist Registry - to which all New England public artists should apply.

THANK YOU MARY!

Please join us in thanking Mary Tinti for her dedication to public art and public artists this year as NEFA's first Public Art Fellow.  We wish Mary luck as she joins the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum as the Koch Curatorial Fellow this September.
