Lobster Extravagansa
Our lobster extravagansa at Catalina island is scheduled for this weekend the 25th, 26th, and 27th of February. As I write this the predictions call for rain Thursday thru Saturday. Make sure you contact me before this date to see how many boats are still planning to make the run with the current weather predictions. If we decide to cancel we will plan for another weekend when we have sunshine. |

Raffle Information
The raffle at this years banquet was the biggest raffle that we have ever held. Your Oceanside Anglers Club spent $4,500.00 in raffle items for this years event. Thanks to donations and discounts we were able to raffle off nearly $15,000 retail cost of fishing and boating related items. The top raffle item of the night was a custom sculpture by David Wirth of a calico bass and crab valued at $3800.00. We elected John Thalasinos, owner of Reel Nice & Easy, boat of the year for 2010, to pick the winning ticket. John broke the presidential curse where presidents of the club could not win a raffle item and picked a ticket belonging to yours truly. I can only hope that now the curse is broke I will be able to catch some fish this year. |
