From the Lodge
Each month, we will bring you news about happenings on the farm and from around the sport with our take on environmental issue, hunting laws and regulations, and other bits of news that touch our passion. We'll have guest columns from hunters like you as well as other professionals from the hunting world. I hope Covey Call takes you away from the daily grind and lets you return to a world of unsheathed doubles, frosty mornings, old friends, hard working dogs, and a place of fond memories.
Quail hunting is in my bloodline, having been schooled by my grandfather, father and uncle when I was but a small boy. My love for the sport and passion for the outdoors guided me to the creation of The Webb Farm.
Hunt with us and you will find a special place full of history and steeped in southern quail hunting traditions. The Webb Farm offers a wing shooting experience unique to North Carolina and one of the most noted quail hunting farms in the South.
From our southern style lodge and food, to our broom sedge fields and pines, to our naturally raised birds, hunting The Webb Farm is like stepping back to yesteryear where time slows and the outside world fades from memory.
If you have hunted with us in the past, we look forward to your return. If you are new the The Webb Farm, well, we welcome you with a hearty handshake, a friendly hello, and a invitation to come join us and find something special here in the Sandhills.
Thanks for reading,
Bill

What Others are Saying
"Some people would see Webb's farm as being badly in need of some intense work with a tractor and a Bush Hog. Others - biologists, hunters and Webb himself - see it as a little slice of quail heaven." Wildlife in North Carolina Magazine

Welcome to Covey Call
Are you ready to go hunting?
Welcome to the inaugural issue of Covey Call, the newsletter of The Webb Farm. Our focus here will be all things quail hunting. In the coming issues, you will read about what is happening here at the Farm, profiles of our hunters, guides, or dogs, and perhaps a guest column from an expert in our industry. We will cover lots of ground with Covey Call except politics and religion, and when it comes to mixing those topics with guns, well we all know better than to open those topics! Putting all this together will be Ken Rabb, our newest guide here at The Webb Farm. Ken has moved back home to Richmond County after more than 25 years in corporate marketing and public relations. He is a people person, loves the outdoors, and is a great addition to our guide staff. I know you will enjoy your hunting experience with him. And by the way, we opened October 21 and the hunting is going well! I don't think our cover has ever been as nice as it looks this Fall. We are seeing lots of nice coveys and with a couple of good frosts last week and temperatures cooling off, Fall is arriving here in the Sandhills. There are a lot of good hunting dates available this month, especially from Thanksgiving through the first week of December. If you haven't schedules your hunt, email or give me a call! Give us your feedback and ideas about Covey Call. There is a click through button at the bottom of the page to easily forward the publication to your hunting friends. Help us let others like you know about The Webb Farm and the great bird hunting we have. On behalf of everyone here at the Farm, we look forward to your next visit! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families. Bill Webb
