Jason Lauterbach of Lauterbach Buick GMC greeted the crowd at our Chamber breakfast for the first time as our new Chamber Board Chair. Past Chair Mike Winblade took a new position with Hy-Vee in Mason City. Mike's new position opened up rather quickly so he wanted us to pass on these words:

I regret to inform all of you that I have taken a different opportunity with Hy-Vee and will be moving to Mason City. Effective today, I will no longer be the board chair. I have spoken to Vice-chair Jason Lauterbach and he is ready to step in. This is very bittersweet for me, Newton has been one of the best experiences for my wife and I and I will miss my employees, customers, and the community. Newton is a great place and moving in the right direction and the Chamber is a big part of that, so keep it going. Thank you for the opportunity to serve. If you are in Hy-Vee in Mason City, please say hello! |

 4th of July! Plans are unfolding for a great 4th of July event this summer. The parade will be on Wednesday the 4th at 9:30 AM with food, fun and festivities to follow on the square. Our theme is "America the Beautiful" and parade registration and vendor forms are now avaialble. The 4th of July Parade and Festivities is one of our signature events as a Chamber.
