Jason
Jason Lauterbach
Thanks Mike,
Welcome Jason
Jason Lauterbach of Lauterbach Buick GMC greeted the crowd at our Chamber breakfast for the first time as our new Chamber Board Chair.  Past Chair Mike Winblade took a new position with Hy-Vee in Mason City. Mike's new position opened up rather quickly so he wanted us to pass on these words:
Mike Winblade
Mike Winblade

I regret to inform all of you that I have taken a different opportunity with Hy-Vee and will be moving to Mason City.  Effective today, I will no longer be the board chair.  I have spoken to Vice-chair Jason Lauterbach and he is ready to step in.  This is very bittersweet for me, Newton has been one of the best experiences for my wife and I and I will miss my employees, customers, and the community.  Newton is a great place and moving in the right direction and the Chamber is a big part of that, so keep it going.  Thank you for the opportunity to serve.  If you are in Hy-Vee in Mason City, please say hello!

LINKS to Business Blogs & Resources
This list changes now and then but these are great resources for anyone running a business or organization, small or large, for profit or not-for-priofit.

Co-author of "The Go-Giver", one of our recommended books.  It's all about doing business with those you know, like and trust.  If you are in sales or want to understand the power of networking, this is a great blog.

If you want to be remarkable, Seth will help you get started.  We recommended his book "The Big Moo" but he has much more to say.  Great for marketing ideas too.

Facebook? Twitter?  You'll find resources, links and articles for all of the all the latest tips and trends in social media.

Why do many small businesses fail?  Michael Gerber wrote a book called the E-Myth (The Entrepreneaur Myth - Voted #1 business book by Inc. 500 CEOs.) to examine that fact, and he's been coaching hundreds ever since.
