LeGaL provides an opportunity for its members to play an active role in the organization through participation on its committees. Serving on a committee is a great way to contribute to the work of our organization, promote the interests of the LGBT legal community and network with other members. We hope you will consider joining one of the committees listed below.

In-House Corporate Counsel Committee

Forum for counsel serving in-house at corporations. The committee promotes the professional interests of LGBT in-house counsel, conducts events for those interested in in-house counsel opportunities, liaisons with other organizations to foster best practices, and provides opportunities for LGBT in-house counsel to network and share resources.
Judiciary Committee

The Judiciary Committee is charged with conducting LeGaL's confidential screening panels that evaluate candidates for judicial office and provide public ratings; recruiting designees to serve on judicial screening panels of other organizations; promoting the interests of members of the LGBT community interested in serving within the judiciary; holding events and programs focused on the judiciary; liaising with the judicial community and promoting the advancement of judges dedicated to equality and full representation of the LGBT legal community.
Networking & Social Events Committee

Organize social and networking events for LeGaL members and in conjunction with other organizations to promote a sense of community among members while expanding professional and social networks.
Solo & Small Law Firm Practitioners Committee

Forum for LGBT solo practitioners and attorneys at smaller law firms. The committee promotes the professional interests of such practitioners, identifies ways in which LeGaL can better support the work of such community, provides networking and business development opportunities, conducts forums and events aimed at assisting those interested in pursuing a small law firm or solo practice, and ensures that LeGaL programming is responsive to the needs of the small law firm/solo practitioner community.
