Honesty is a performance intervention in two acts that plays out in various locations within Toronto's iconic Honest Ed's discount emporium. By embodying the diverse people who sustain it daily, performer Virgilia Griffith becomes a living, breathing record of the store. Shape-shifting between voices, transcending age, gender, and race, she also comes to represent the very essence of Toronto's working class, who have come to rely on the store over decades.

Presented in partnership with Suburban Beast and in association with the Koffler Gallery Off-Site exhibition Summer Special. Summer Special continues until November 11, 2012.
