Be the first to experience a one-of-a-kind journey mixing and melding the musical traditions of Middle Eastern Jews together with Eastern European Jewish music. Yair Dalal and Frank London will compose and perform new music together with Waleed Abdulhamid, Aviva Chernick, Rick Lazar, Lenka Lichtenberg, Demetrios Petsalakis, Debashis Sinha, and Maryem Tollar.
Plus: During their weeklong residency, Dalal and London will offer master classes, lecture-demonstrations and interactive talks for musicians and music lovers alike.

A panel discussion among creative urban thinkers and civically-minded creators examines the essential role of art in the city's continuous evolution. Moderated by journalist/author John Lorinc (Spacing, The Globe and Mail, The Walrus, Atlantic Cities) and featuring Amy Lavender Harris (author of Imagining Toronto), artist Flavio Trevisan, and more.
Presented together with Diaspora Dialogues in association with the Koffler Gallery exhibition Museum of the Represented City.

Starting in the summer and fall of 2012, the Koffler will offer classes in visual art and ceramics in the brand new, state-of-the-art studios at the Schwartz/Reisman Centre on Lebovic Campus in Vaughan.
We are looking for dedicated and experienced instructors to teach workshops and full-term courses to adults and children in the following areas:
- Painting/Drawing: classical and contemporary
- Ceramics: wheel throwing, sculpture and functional
- Crafts: high quality crafts such as sewing, knitting, jewelry making, etc.

Open Studio, 401 Richmond St. W., Suite 104 A group exhibition focusing on the use of the monotype print process by three artists: Susan Collett, Elena Roginsky, and Koffler painting instructor Sadko Hadzihasanovic.
Icons of Loss: The Art of Samuel Bak March 1 - April 30, 2012 | Joseph D. Carrier Art Gallery, Columbus Centre 901 Lawrence Ave. W. The first major exhibition of Samuel Bak's work in Canada consists of several dozen important paintings - roughly half of them based upon the May 16, 1943 photograph depicting a little boy at gun point during the liquidation of the Warsaw Ghetto. The other half of the works explore a different icon - Albrecht Durer's 1514 engraving Melancholia 1.
Presented with the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto and the Pucker Gallery, Boston in cooperation with the artist, Samuel Bak.

Saturday March 10, 6 - 9 PM | Chalkers Pub Fern Lindzon, producer/bassist George Koller, flautist extraordinaire Bill McBirnie, and Mark Segger on drums will play excerpts from Lindzon's 2012 JUNO Award-nominated jazz album Two Kites.
Kiosk March 10, Doors 7 PM, Show 8 PM Mod Club, 722 College St. Known as "the pioneers of Iranian rock", Kiosk is a band praised for their sharp and satirical lyrics, as well as their unique blend of musical styles, from rock to gypsy jazz to Iranian folk.
