No.3 Proofing Time
OK, it is that time. I have begun uploading pages and variations and I'd say I have about 75% begun, and in this gallery:
password is 3retro
I will be working more through the weekend and into next week so feel free to check back periodically for pages of yours. Add comments and credit info, I will be commenting myself as well.
As you do include an email address when I make an update or comment myself you will be notified.
As before when a page is in its final state and all info correct, please note a final "I approve this page for publishing". Please use this language as I also have to ask for releases and will provide one shortly. There has been some close calls with some models and it is simly how it must be.
I will be extremely busy over the next week with all this so expect my ability to communicate to be even more reduced.
No.2 Inventory.
It has happened again. I now have in my possesion less than 400 copies (apart from some I have to ship to a few of you based on recent discussions). I have raised the price in the store to $15 per copy. I don't know if any of you have noticed the subscriptions in there currently. Sets of 6 including issues #1 and #2 are in excess of $100 for 6 copies. I frankly did not think we'd sell any like that. But indeed there are. Another thing that has happened, as people buy their first copy as #2, they get hooked and want #1 and I am now into the last 50 or so. This week I will probably take it off the site by itself.
Retro Lovely No.3
We're printing LOTS of this one.
At least that extra thousand, I hope two thousand.
If sales continue I am actually going to begin hinting we might be able to go bi-monthly from a financial standpoint. There again the agony of "will they sell" sets in, but it sure seems like there is a pretty good return customer base being built and new ones finding the product each day. So why not? But this would then affect the production cycle, in a good way I feel. I think it would allow some to take a breath knowing the bus comes along twice as frequently.... from the standpoint of keeping your work in front of an audience. Affording more of your clients opportunities.
Taboo Edition
OK I see this coming together and I feel confident enough that I am inches away from flipping the switch on taboo to be a no cost situation. YES - so, those of you with Taboo greade content. Let me know if you want to take part and we can talk about you're submitting work for this. One thing I will say, with this one.... given this shift does actually mean I personally am investing the balance of the money on it also means I am going to be a bit more particular than previously. And I say this because I ended up scratching my head with some work presented to me for this... I went from telling some that "no that gal with match head sized pasties isn't suitable for Retro Lovely" to seeing a whole lot of great, but tame submissions... Taboo should contain that sort of work that would create pain over on facebook if the stuff was included in the regular edition.
