UPDATES

Tons of great work in for issue #3

I am wading through it all and will be in contact with each of you over the next few days.

The issue will be at least 124 pages.
As fate would have it there's a few advertisers lurking around making inquiries and if a few hit... I won't have enough space, if they don't 124 it is.  But if they do I need to add 4 pages in total and this will give things a bit of a breather... not nearly enough for all the work of course but...  you never know...

No.1
Continues to sell via very expensive offerings in the store, and by way of subscriptions.  The remaining copies I have available / on hand are now below 60.  I may stop offering it in the subscriptions.  This brings me to now ask those of you with consignment copies to make a decision on what you might have left.  I either need to get them back, or you may buy them at the $6 wholesale.  If any of you have copies that you purchased and are willing to part with them, I  will buy those back at $10 each.  Now if some of you are sitting on 10 consignments copies you could ask "so, I buy them from you at $6 but can turn right around and sell those back to you at $10???, that's crazy talk"  Well, I would. It is simply the situation that there is without question momentum with this.  Someday, a reprint will probably happen, but not until the finances, that "warchest" I spoke of some months ago is where it needs to be. And it is on a positive track. More on that follows.

No.2
Part of the inventory dilemma is trying to figure out what quantity is enough and what quantity is too much, not enough and you miss out on opportunities, too much and you run the risk of rendering your capital frozen. For instance, if issue No.1 did not do as well as it had and several thousand copies of it were sitting in my basement still...  Issue No.2 would not be out now....

This is my first notice of No.2 inventory getting close to that "here we go again" territory.  I now have less than 500 copies on hand. I'm going to predict sales will continue that in a few short weeks I will be in the same position we were with issue No.1.  That it will deplete such that I see fit to raise the price on it as well.  That said I personally (as I did with some copies of No.1) will end up buying a quantity for myself to sit on.  Some of you may wish to as well.  I do know that several of you had quantities of No.1 and when the RL store pricing went up you raised your selling price below that but significantly higher as well and made some decent money as a result.  When we get to under 400 I will send another note. Meanwhile do think about your upcoming opportunities and what you might need.

No.3
Now back with issue No.1 and No.2 I did indicate that wholesale was arrived at to ensure the costs with shipping were covered and a slight amount additional that I could begin to build up a reserve, mainly as with No.1 as I was not sure how our pre-sales on No.2 would go (maybe the novelty wears off, people lose interest etc, but they didn't) and simply to build the capital so that a point would come that we could add to the order.  No.3 is that issue. Adding in another 1000.  And with that a lower wholesale...  I am not yet sure how heavy these 124 monsters will be (and what that does to shipping, issue No.2 btw was more expensive per copy than No.1 when you factor in increased shipping costs)  But I am pretty confident I'll be able to offer copies of No.3 at no more than $5.50 wholesale, shipping included. I am also hopeful it can be rounded down to $5 each shipped.

TABOO
Taboo presales remain very good. Well enough that the per page cost to get in on that one is, well I'm going to round up at the moment to $40 per page as that's closest but I do think it will soon be down to $35 and have every intention of hitting $25 before we need to go to press. Ideally that would be the end of September so I am going to put a Taboo deadline out there of September 10.

No.3 Proofing
This week I will be establishing a proofing gallery for No.3, if any of you want your work individually passworded let me know and I will do so, otherwise I am lumping them all into one area. UNDERSTAND there may be multiple images shown, this DOES NOT represent pages, or page count...or that those images are all going to be in the issue... Pay attention to your work, we've likely discussed space already. Please do not talk to me about other's space.
