Issue #2 Shipping.

As of right now about 150 copies of RL#2 have been shipped out.  I had sent an email to those who pre-ordered asking some to check in with me with their opinions.  Mostly we are getting rave reviews.  O.K. So if not mostly what are some pings?  Well one party suggested more, newer models.  Mentioned seeing some of the same ones in issue #2 as they had in issue #1.  Now here mentally I go through in my head how many that actually was and I personally don't think we were heavy at all in this regard, especially since we also added 20 pages.

There were also the few parties who would rather Retro Lovely NOT include models with Tatts but they still go on to say they'll keep buying it / supporting us with the mix we include.

Here's a note I got this morning, I include it as I even went so far in my email to ask if I offered a refund would they return it....

"Got the magazine on Saturday, and couldn't put it down! Loved the first issue as well, but this is even better!
Husband and I were both impressed with the variety and quality of the images. Everything from lighting, editing, to composition seemed first-rate for all the included photos. Also impressed with the creativity of the photographers you are including.

Overall, very impressed and can't wait to see more, I do think its a good value, good size, everything is great and I wouldn't return it!"

For all the photogs on this list (95% of those who get this) I thought this note would be appreciated, that these customers do indeed notice and appreciate your craft and attention to detail.  I think this is very important to hear as it is the difference in these images, the difference that sets them apart from the ocean of other pinup being produced that takes the easy road all too often.

NEW STORE / Issue No.2 COMPS

By tonight I will have copied over all coupon codes to the new store: http://www.retrolovelymagazine.com/ please do go there and set up an account, not to buy anything but for a few things....  First that service will allow me to combine a few others and offset it's increased cost.  The current store costs about $40 a month, this newsletter thing, which I am not fully trusting anymore costs another $20 a month...  the new store is $100 per month.  Can't and should not maintain all 3.  The new store will allow me to do newsletters and more importantly allow an affiliate program, so for those of you who promote the crap out of this, you can log in yourself and see how many people click your link, how many actually buy something and have much more insight into how you are doing in this regard...   here is a page with some screenshots of the affiliate pages of your account http://www.retrolovely.com/partners/affiliate.html

And when you sign up here, I will use the address provided to send out comps of issue #2.  As soon as you sign up I'll send you copies.  Tonight I ship copies to those of you who already got in there and entered your info.

Retro Lovely No.3

A few newsletters ago I mentioned the timeline for #3 with a content deadline of July 31.  I am rethinking this and shifting it back to August 13.  But even more, this is a very very hard deadline.  I'm doing this so some of you can market a bit more between issues.  Erin with Lone Star landed a very clever post on the Facebook Fanpage.... while talking about issue #2 she wrote "Which of our clients will be featured next?"  If that doesn't stir up some interest and business...  I don't know what will.  Though I am getting more and more feedback from many of you indicating that indeed models are seeking you out because of Retro Lovely.  And thanks for letting me know that.  This is precisely the scenario I thought possible and one of the more immediate benefits to all this that we might enjoy.

Taboo Edition
Still there but has to wait until I get #2 fully shipped.
I may also personally subsidize this to try to get page costs down to $50 or below so more people can take part / do more than just a page.
