That is the best way I can describe things at the moment.
To all, please know my tardiness on some correspondence is a result of more than I can get to currently.
I am working much this evening and tomorrow on Issue #2
I have a sense I am not going to have the run back until the first week of July due to a number of reasons. One part of it is indeed the collection of material for #2 as well as not entirely clear ideas on content or I should say the tendency of some of us to want to use the most current work we've produced.
That said I am actually planning to steup up the timelines and deadlines for issue #3. It won't seem so bad though as part of the problem with issue #2 is that it came on the heels of #1 and as some of you may recall me saying... there was a period just after it started shipping out that we sort of stepped back to see how response was going to be. Now we know. Now there is no reason not to ink up some dates on the wall and get ready for them.
Check this out around Sunday, there will be additions and updates:

ALSO
Retro Lovely Taboo Edition....
The gloves..... and pasties will come off, but this special product will also be not only more collaborative but very much a business venture not unlike any where all involved will be full partners, as in I intend to discuss and arrive at what will be done... perhaps even heavier cover, heavier paper, no ads.... possibly higher cover price..... figure out the production costs and assign each page a "value" and those who want in, invest in it. A page is like a share. Similarly though on the back end, the page as a share gets an equal amount in profit. I will get back to this once RL2 is off my plate, but I've had enough ask about this and I just wanted it to be known up front that I can't afford personally to subsidize an other title at this point in time. RL#1 has done amazingly well at allowing it to continue and grow and not tax me further but I am not personally out of the woods there. With RL Taboo I propose it only be attempted if we can set it up if we could enjoy a return of 100% or better on our investment in it and not have the page costs exceed $75 or so. With the momentum of Retro Lovely and a growing audience with which to promote to... I think selling this will be pretty easy.... I mention it all as advertising a Taboo Edition in Retro Lovely #2 would be important to do. That said... if you have such work and feel it would be something you'd be into do send me a note indicating so:
michael@retrolovely.com , if not, and if investing $75 is not something you'd be into simply don't send me a note... if I get a sense there is enough of a base to begin this, I'd certainly work towards including that ad in RL2.
Cheers,
Michael
