Hey all,
At the bottom of this page:
http://www.retrolovely.com/partners.html
I've started a list of coupon codes which will provide people a $2 discount of the selling price. (this will also work for issue #1 so if you want to mention to anyone who did not get one, they can say a bit off the increased price in the store) If you are not yet on that list and want to get started hit me up.
Here is where Issue #2 products will be:
I also put together a general graphic (shown below) that can be used to promote the project/issues. The path to the graphic is:
You will note it lists that subscriptions are now available. This was something else that a lot of you have heard people asking and I've seen often in emails. What I would like to do with this is suggest that as you promote and people use your coupon code we can still track your efforts and success here. When people sign up for subscriptions I will notifiy you and offer one of two situations, first the entire value could be utilized by you to secure space in an issue (a one year/6 month subscription is just over 3/4 of a page) Or you could elect to have a $12 commission paid to you, OR you could eelct to have a sale credit each issue via that person.
FTP, for those submitting work for issue #2 contact me for FTP login info, several of you have done this and THANK YOU it works so well and for those who have not yet used FTP uploading don't sweat it, the first round had some newbies to it that got in with nearly as much ease as logging into a website.
ALSO, I sent a newsletter out to the mailing list I've been keeping of people who sign up for it on the website as well as those who've previously contacted us and purchased a copy of issue #1, there has already been quite a few orders for issue #2, if someone who already ordered notices a coupon code from you and mentions it I will credit them back the $2, maybe it is even something where as you begin to talk it up you note "If you already ordered a copy of issue #2 let me know so I can get you some money refunded" Could be it's turned into a nice little PR thing where supporters know we are most certainly NOT trying to fleece them. The pre-order phase of issue #1 was HUGELY instrumental in helping determine interest / print QTY (even though the momentum was not expected to be as steep as it has been)
Thanks and cheers and as always sorry for my typos on these.
Michael
