I hope to have copies to everyone before the end of next week.  Please Please appreciate this part of this is very time consuming and I am also about 60% through shipping pre-orders so those people who supported you with a purchase are also getting theirs, I put a refund date of April 15 on the orders and it is my goal to beat that deadline by a week or more so everyone who coughed up money long ago will be able to have had a good experience with that process and be able to support the project in the future.

 

 

Initial feedback has been exceptional.

We are not without a few warts however, I am here publicly owning up to a graphic mishap with a page of Angela Morales' and for this very reason I will implement a few policies for future issue to ensure we avoid these as much as possible.

 

This past weekend I shot a Burlesque festival in Jim Thorpe Pennsylvania, we also announced the winner of the Retro Lovely Pinup Contest.  It was a fantastic event.  I got to chat with a number of vendors and present the mag and universally  there were a lot of "WOW" moments.... from the initial impact of the tactile experience of the weight, the finish, the quality of imagery, of printing and of the quantity of images....

 

I had just heard last night from Celeste in Philly that she had been contacted already by a new client who learned of her via our presence at this event and that person having her hands on a copy of the magazine. Celeste by the way secured the back cover on issue #1 as an ad, that same day she contacted me, so pleased she wanted to secure that ad space for issue #2, that's a pretty good endorsement I think, and when you study her work and attention to detail... the endorsement just gets that much more impressive.

 

Deanna from One Stop Pinup also did a shoot yesterday that developed as a result of the magazine.  (got the client even before the mag existed, in fact that party bought a copy way way way back and got hers in the mail and took it to show Deanna who is now of course way eager to get her copies)
