Envision the future
Now you can envision the future of the region with this new interactive Web-based visualization tool - Envision 2050. Take a virtual tour of the Draft 2050 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and its Sustainable Communities Strategy by visiting http://www.envision2050sd.com. Envision 2050 provides an overview of the basics in the draft plan in an interactive and visually interesting manner, while allowing those who wish to delve into the details to access links to the draft documents.

After welcoming you to the Web site with interesting facts, figures, and challenges, Envision 2050 steps you through the priorities, operational and capital investments, and the Draft 2050 RTP and SCS, as well as public outreach efforts and public comment opportunities. On one page, there is a regional map that depicts anticipated changes in population and employment, as well as proposed changes to the transit and highway networks in the San Diego region during three time periods - 2020, 2035 and 2050.
