Greetings!
We hope you have fun with this fancy-filled issue. It is a delight to be exploring the flora and fauna of fairy realms and magical habitats this month. In Tips & Tricks, NAME introduces us to two women with unbounded inspiration who find impetus in literature, grandchildren and the heavens above.
Getting to know NAME miniaturist, Wanna Newman, excites a passion for making miniatures that reflect our unique, and sometimes quirky, view of the world. Her art is capricious and joyfully entertaining.
Fittingly, our glimpse into The Mini Time Machine's world of make believe highlights the best of the museum's blossoming reputation as a happy place filled with hope and promise. In the new feature, Miniatures At Large, we welcome guest contributor, Darlene Buhrow from the Tucson Botanical Gardens.
The web that connects us is delicate and beautiful, like a fairy's wing or the silvery path of a snail's slow journey. Rejoice in the life you create, just as author and poet Hans Christian Andersen noted, "Life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale."
Happily ever after,
Nina Daldrup
Executive Director

Take a look at how anthropomorphized miniatures have been portrayed in the realm of fables and mythology throughout human history, and enjoy some of our many wonderful modern examples here at The Mini Time Machine Museum.

Sustaining our Future: Fairy Caitlin's Endowment Fund

Fairy Caitlin's Fund is a quasi-endowment fund set up to provide unrestricted operational support for The Mini-Time Machine Museum of Miniatures. The Board of Directors of the Museum established the policy for Caitlin's Fund on opening day in 2009 to set aside 1½% of all revenue and unrestricted contributions received to invest in perpetuity on behalf of the museum and its programs.
As a board-designated fund, Fairy Caitlin's Fund functions as an endowment because the money that is set aside is invested and treated as principal that cannot be spent. A percentage of the investment's earnings will be used to fund museum operations. The balance of earnings are added back to the principal, along with recent allocations and new donations as they are received, so that the fund may grow and thrive alongside the museum it serves.
Fairy Caitlin's Fund is named for The Mini-Time Machine's resident fairy. Fairy Caitlin welcomes every guest to the big world of small delights with her generous spirit. She personifies the magical experience of The Mini-Time Machine Museum of Miniatures and its timeless mission to protect and preserve the world's smallest treasures for generations to come.
Thank you!
