London Pub Fish & Chips
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 4 potatoes, peeled and cut into strips
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 qt. vegetable oil (for frying)
- 1 1/2 lbs. cod fillets
- London Pub Malt Vinegar Ketchup
Preparation:
- Place potatoes in a medium-size bowl of cold water.
- Mix flour, baking powder, salt and pepper in a separate bowl. Then stir in the milk and egg until smooth. Let stand for 20 minutes.
- Preheat the vegetable oil in a pot to 350 degrees.
- Fry the potatoes in the hot oil until they are tender. Then drain them on paper towels.
- Dredge the fillets in the batter one piece at a time. Then place them in the hot oil. Fry until they are golden brown.
- Pour London Pub Malt Vinegar Ketchup over or on the side of your chips!
