Greetings!
Happy Friday! Today I want to THANK YOU for a great worship service last Sunday! There was powerful energy and amazing presence as we worshiped together! It "revitalized" my spirit and I am ready for an amazing new year!
I am writing this morning from Tampa . . . the kids and I flew here to meet up w/ Scott who is speaking at some conference on technology . . . I do want to PROFUSELY apologize that my Sunday out of the pulpit is so close to the Sunday in which Nikita spoke but we had the opportunity to host him and I didn't want to turn that down! This "break" on a Sunday, for the Smith's, was planned awhile back around the school's winter break . . . so after this Sunday you are stuck with me for awhile! :0
This Sunday you will have a powerful message by Rev. Christi Dillon. Christi leads worship with our worship team and is also ordained through the Baptist Church. She is a great preacher and I know you will walk away having been fed in a powerful, spiritual way!!! Her sermon is on the healing power and presence of God and I can't wait to watch it online.
On Sunday I will be worshiping at Hyde Park UMC. Little confession, this will be the first time EVER on vacation I have "wanted" to go to church somewhere! See . . you guys have rubbed off on me! Your passion for worship and God has caused me to experience vacation as not a place away from God but a place to connect with his presence even more!
Hyde Park is one of the leading UMC's in the nation and James Harnish is one of the best preachers in America! I can't wait to see what amazing things are going on there so I can bring new ideas back to West!
Coming up soon . . . I'll be seeking your feedback on what type of Holy Week services you would like to have. We have several different options.
Also, we are getting ready to have our VERY FIRST Sunday when new people to the WCUMC community, West Campus, join! If you are not a member of WIlliamson's Chapel yet and you would like to join, just let me know!
Thank you for being a church community that not only feeds one another and the community, but me, as your pastor. It is an honor and privilege to be in ministry with you!
Grace and Peace, Andrea
