Greetings!
It's been an exciting week . . . Last Sunday was amazing as you all truly immersed worship by a spiritual presence not defined by things. THANK YOU for really "getting" what it means to be the church! You continually choose to be defined by Love! And you continue to live like radical disciples of Christ . . . doing "church" in ways not normally done and you are making a difference and changing lives and changing the world through Christ! Thank you for sharing your experiences with me in regard to our "No Huddles Day!" and we will be compiling those in an anonymous way to share how an impact was made in the community! It was an honor to speak to a group of pastors/church leaders about West yesterday afternoon. The word of the week was "VIRAL" and that the missional movement in the church is viral in many areas and continuing to grow. From the many discussions I heard and talks by amazing spiritual leaders in our world, I am convicted now more than ever that we stay the path God has put us on! We are growing together in our relationships with Christ, continuing to make a difference in this community/world, and I believe great things are ahead! There are some things I see that I really need to "fine tune" and focus on . . . encouraging and finding ways for you to be in community with one another is my first priority as we move into the months of November and December. LifeGroups or ministry team groups truly are the way YOU will feel a part of the faith community! Just like every other area of West, they can be defined however you want them to be . . . .. pick a passion that you have, find six - 12 friends that share that with you, and "WHAM!" you have a LifeGroup! There are not any "staid" rules about how that has to happen! BUT it matters . . . . it's having that support system to love you through the difficultlies of life that will make a difference. I am glad to say "I'll see you on Sunday!" It is going to be AN AMAZING DAY OF WORSHIP!!!!! I promise you - it will be a day you will never forget! Bring friends . . . .it's a great way to show them what the Worship component for our kids is all about!!!!! I'll see you then! Grace and Peace, Andrea |
