The U.S. Department of Energy has announced new energy-efficiency legislation that will impact the manufacturing of incandescent light bulbs, linear and U-shaped fluorescent lamps, and PAR lamps.
For fluorescent and PAR lamps, the legislation goes into effect on July 14, 2012.
After this date, most T12 and many T8 and PAR lamps will no longer be manufactured.

ISOLE Plug Control
An eight-outlet power strip and a personal occupancy sensor
Using the personal sensor to detect occupancy, Isolé turns on the power strip-controlled devices when a workspace is occupied. When the space becomes vacant and the adjustable time delay elapses, controlled equipment is turned off.
The Isolé power strip contains six outlets  controlled by occupancy (for equipment such as monitors, task lights, space heaters, or fans) and two outlets that are uncontrolled (for equipment that should not be interrupted such as CPUs, faxes, and modems).
Isolé power strips are designed for today's workspaces, with space for equipment transformers and offset plugs for a sleeker profile under crowded desktops.
The personal sensors utilize advanced passive infrared technology, with user-adjustable time delays. Product installation is simple, with no hardwiring necessary.

UNIT HEATERS HUH-524TA Horizontal/Downflow Unit
* Heater comes equipped with ceiling mounting bracket for horizontal or vertical flow mounting or any position in between. * Built-in single pole thermostat adjusts from 45º to 135ºF.
* Eight wattages and two voltages make the HUH524TA field adjustable from 1874 watts at 208 volts to 5000 watts at 240 volts. The HUH724ST is adjustable up to 7500 watts.
* Automatic control delays fan action until heating element is warm. When thermostat is satisfied, fan continues to operate until heating element is cool. By preventing circulation of cold air and expelling excess heat, comfort level is raised and component life is extended. * A high level cutout automatically shuts off current in event of overheating and reactivates the heater when temperature returns to normal.
