SPRING TRENDS: FOR YOU OR AGAINST YOU?
According to INSTYLE MAGAZINE these are a few Spring Trends to add to your wardrobe. Put away your heavy coats and get out your capes or go buy one because they look good on everyone.
Girly dresses, feminine blouses, and ruffles are back again. This look requires the right personality and figure. It's Spring, so gingham has cropped up. Leave this trend alone if you are holding on to a few extra pounds.
Metallic and Sequins are everywhere and yes Mom, you can wear them during the day now. But don't draw attention to those not-so-perfect body parts.
Floral dresses are another Spring Trend that is not just right on everyone. Remember smaller florals on dark backgrounds are more slimming.
High Octane Glitz is still left over from the holidays in textured jacquards and brocade. A little of this goes a long way, so look for these in trimmings on jackets instead of an entire suit.
Pink Leopard accessories are all the rage. I'll have to go for a purse, as pink does not look good around my face. And red heads stay away from those pink leopard scarves!
Khaki Pants with a twist: they're called paper bag pants. Listen girls, they only look good on long, skinny legs.
The little black dress is now the edgy black dress made from body forming fabrics with texturized details. Make sure those details create vertical patterns, not horizontal.
This year's Spring Color is YELLOW. This is a great color for Springs (blondes, brunettes, and red heads with pale gold skin.) If you have olive skin, look for a lime/yellow and for those with pale pink skin, look soft, pastel yellow.
Trends are great, but make sure they work FOR you, not AGAINST you!
