BlogTO's Best Parks to Have a Picnic in Toronto

The best parks to have a picnic in Toronto prove that we don't need much to enjoy a picnic in this city - give us a patch of grass, above-freezing temperatures, and we're eager to throw down a blanket (or jacket) and feast on that sandwich like there's no tomorrow. It's no surprise then, that in season, Toronto's parks turn into meccas for the picnic junkies big and small. We lug our coolers and our babies, ready to combat anything from wasps to squirrels to the parking pains - in exchange for a few hours of gastro recreation.

Toronto Life Series: Where to buy now, East End Danforth

East End Danforth, because million-dollar homes, modest semis and co-ops commingle close to the Beach.

The urban mix is the appeal of East End Danforth-a neighbourhood that has proximity to the boardwalk; manicured houses flying Beach flags; family-friendly Norwood Park; a southern fringe of stately detached Edwardians; co-op housing; semis in the $400,000 to $500,000 range closer to Woodbine.

Testimonial: Sally's Story

We started looking for a new home because we were downsizing from a home that was 4000 square feet.

When we started the search, we were looking for a home with a minimum of three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a large dining room and a decent space for a kitchen. We were open to homes in a fairly large area - from Glencairn in the north to St. Clair, bounded by Yonge and Bathurst. We were looking for something we could add value to.
