Bikram Yoga El Cajon/La MesaOctober 2011

Fiery Pumpkins

Happy Halloween!

Greetings!

Fall has arrived and the temperatures are getting cooler. Now is a good time to rededicate yourself to your yoga practice before the holidays hit.

I will be teaching alot, at both studios, in October and it will be hard to miss my class. Although I am always here to help you with your postures and your practice, the best time for your questions and special help would be in the 30 minutes before class so that you can implement the information into the class you're about to take.
I look forward to helping you this month.

A special congratulations to Carl Tillander ( Age 69 ) who after more than 6 years of continued effort, and determination completed his 1,000th class. Way to go OL BULLDOG!

Happy Birthday to Dave our SENIOR teacher who's right behind Carl!
                            HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE :)

Sincerely,

Homemade Soups Are Now Available!
During the fall and winter seasons, we will be offering delicious hot soups at the El Cajon Studio.  We can't think of anything better than being in the hot yoga room and then enjoying a bowl of hot, homemade soup to get us through the chilly days.  We understand that quite a few of you are vegetarian or vegan, so we are making accomodations.  We are still working on the soup menu and are open to any favorite recipes or ideas that you may have.  Let us know!
Book Club is Back!

October's Book :
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury

Synopsis: Guy Montag is a firefighter who lives in a lonely, isolated society where books have been outlawed by a government fearing an independent-thinking public. It is the duty of firefighters to burn any books on sight or said collections that have been reported by informants. People in this society including Montag's wife are drugged into compliance and get their information from wall-length television screens. After Montag falls in love with book-hoarding Clarisse, he begins to read confiscated books. It is through this relationship that he begins to question the government's motives behind book-burning. Montag is soon found out, and he must decide whether to return to his job or run away knowing full well the consequences that he could face if captured.

Meeting:

We will meet at the El Cajon studio on Saturday, October 24th at 2:00pm. This time allows us to review the book and finish before the 4:30pm class. We'll have a hearty soup available in the cafe along with some fresh juices. Look forward to seeing you all then.
