TRIANGLE POSE MEDICAL BENEFITS

  • An excellent cardiovascular workout
  • Helps kidneys, thyroid and adrenal glands
  • Opens shoulder joints
  • Strengthens and tones legs and buttocks
  • Helps regulate hormone levels
  • Helps conditions of constipation, colitis, low blood pressure, appendicitis, menstrual disorders
  • Excellent for scoliosis
  • Firms upper thighs and hips, slims waistline, and improves the deltoid, trapezius, scapula, and latissimus muscles
  • Improves every single bone, muscle, joint, tendon, and internal organ
  • Revitalizes nerves, veins, and tissues
  • No other pose increases strength and flexibility in the hips as well as this one
  • Tones the muscles on the sides of the torso including the obliques and the intercostals
  • Flexing and strengthening the last five vertebrae in this posture can alleviate crooked spines as well as rheumatism, lumbago and lower back pain
  • WHAT DOESN'T THE TRIANGLE DO?

TIPS

  • If you put weight on the fingertips touching the floor, the posture and benefits are ruined. So don't put any pressure on them!
  • Bear all the weight on the bent leg
  • There are no shortcuts in this pose. The triangle is quite simply a killer for most beginners.

Yoga Etiquette
  • Listen to the dialogue and instructor carefully. Wait to be instructed by the teacher to get into and out of each posture. Do each posture together and at the same time. Although it's quite difficult at times, try to hold the posture for the full time to derive maximum benefits from it. Utilizing group effort and by doing each posture as a whole, we exchange a positive flowing energy throughout the whole room. Be aware of yourself and others.

Student Resource Book
We are putting together a resource book for both the La Mesa and El Cajon studios.  It will contain services, product and company information from our students for our students.  If you would like to participate by advertising your business or services to other students, please see Ashley or Regina in El Cajon.  We will give you all of the details to be included in this great source of potential clients!
Thank You!
Lisa and "Gus," her coon hound/Rotweiler mix, would like to extend a warm thank you to everyone who donated money and good wishes towards Gus' surgery. Down to three legs but not out in any spirit, Gus is doing great, running around and is expected to make a full recovery.  He has also learned his lesson and will not be napping in the middle of the road again!
