Daylight Saving Time 2011 Ending Late This Year

Mark Nov. 6 as the day to finally set your clocks back, the second-longest wait since the energy-saving switcheroo debuted in 1918. Daylight saving time, when clocks are moved an hour forward to extend sunlight, begins at 2 a.m. the second Sunday of March and ends at 2  a.m. on the first Sunday of November.

 

The annual SOP Thanksgiving food donations basket is in the foyer,

ready to be filled.  

SOME OTHER PLACE. . .  Founded in 1968 by the local religious community  

to meet the unmet emergency needs of the local poor and "hurting" residents  

of the Beaumont community. When no one could help they were told they had  

to go to some other place . . .  thus, the name Some Other Place, a place when  all else fails. 

In order for Unity of Southeast Texas' journey to continue, we are all being asked to help in very practical ways.  The list below contains items that we use on a daily or weekly basis.  Whenever you go to the grocery store, please consider picking up one or more of these supplies so that we might have an ever-filled "Pantry":
