On this day Unity of Southeast Texas is hosting a Prayer Vigil from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a service from 6 to 6:30 p.m. You are invited to drop by and join us in holding Sacred Space for this uplifting of consciousness. There will be candles, meditative music, inspirational reading material, and writing paraphernalia.

Essential Oils Continued ...
LAVENDER - (Lavandula angustifolia) the most versatile of all essential oils:
1.Put a drop of Lavender oil on a bee sting or insect bite to stop itching and reduce swelling.
2.To alleviate the symptoms of motion sickness, place a drop of Lavender oil on the end of the tongue or around the naval or behind the ears.
3.Place a few drops of Lavender oil on a cotton ball and place in your linen closet to scent the linens and repel moths and insects.
4.Place a drop of Lavender oil in your water fountain to scent the air, kill bacteria and prolong the time between cleanings.
5. Place a few drops of Lavender oil on a wet cloth and throw into the dryer, which will deodorize and freshen your laundry.
6. Put a drop of Lavender oil on a cold sore.
7. Diffuse Lavender oil to alleviate the symptoms of allergies.
8. Spritz several drops of Lavender oil mixed with distilled water on a sunburn to decrease pain.
9. Drop Lavender oil on a cut to clean the wound and kill bacteria.
10. Apply 2-3 drops of Lavender oil to a rash to stop the itching and heal the skin.

Silent Unity Prayer Service
Along with Unity churches and centers around the globe, we hold a 30-minute Silent Unity Prayer Service each week, using that month's script from Unity Village.
Around the circle we participate in repetitions of the Silence, affirmation, words for thought, the Silence - as in the following sampling of September's service.
In the silence, I touch the presence of God within and find perfect peace...As I focus on my breathing, I feel the presence of God fill my heart. I release any limiting thoughts and fully experience true inner peace. As this feeling of peace envelops me, from the top of the head to the soles of my feet, I move deeper into my heart space. I touch the presence of God within and find perfect peace, in the Silence ....
Spirit leads me on a level path to my highest good .... etcetera
I am whole and well through the healing power of God within me .... etcetera
I give generously and receive abundantly .... etcetera
Today I speak only words of peace .... etcetera
