Elizabeth Kibodeaux is part of an established songwriters' group that is now meeting here on a regular basis.  Anyone is invited to attend.   

For the above workshops, the teacher's fee is $25.  As Elizabeth writes:  "Both are amazing teachers with totally different teaching styles.  I would recommend you attend both workshops if you are able."

The Green 3 R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

KEEP COOL

TIP #1:  Each degree you raise the temperature of your air conditioner saves 3-4 percent of cooling costs. By changing the temperature by 2 degrees all year, you can save about 2,000 pounds of C02 a year.    

TIP #2:  Consider changing your bulbs. Incandescent light bulbs are heat generators, so many experts suggest switching them for energy-efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs or halogen infrareds.

Prayer Chaplain Calls

Unity of Southeast Texas Prayer Chaplains 

This is the time of year when we have changes in our Prayer Chaplain Program, and we wanted you to be informed in advance of these changes.  Each year our Prayer Chaplains prayerfully choose to either renew their one-year commitment or move to Prayer Chaplain Emeritus status.  We lovingly support them in their decision knowing that God has guided them to what is highest and best for themselves on their spiritual journey.  In the next few weeks we will complete the training and dedicate our new team of Prayer Chaplains.

As a member or an active non-member of Unity of Southeast Texas, you will continue to receive monthly wellness calls, although they may be from a different Prayer Chaplain.   Our Mission is to hold the sacred space of possibilities, to lovingly listen and pray from our hearts, holding in confidence what is shared.  We consider it a sacred privilege to support our members and active congregants in this way.  

Thank you in advance for your willingness to support these changes as we move into our new year of service with you. 

Wednesdays 11:30-Noon

Along with Unity churches and centers around the globe, we hold a 30-minute Silent Unity Prayer Service each week, using that month's script from Unity Village.   

Around the circle we participate in repetitions of  the Silence, affirmation, words for thought, the Silence - as in the following sampling of June's service.

I radiate peace with every thought, word and action.

I radiate peace in this very moment.  Connecting with the inner peace of my being, I envision beams shining from me and those around me.  The peace I feel soothes me and supports me in being a beneficial presence in my environment and to those around me.  I experience last peace now, in the Silence ....  

The wisdom of God lives within me ... etcetera

I claim my wholeness as perfect child of God ... etcetera     

I am prospered by the infinite flow of divine ideas ... etcetera  

I see the world through the eyes of love ... etcetera
