Our dear friend Paul Judice made his transition on Memorial Day, May 30th, after another journey with cancer. He wanted to go with dignity, at home, surrounded by loved ones. And so it was.
For Paul, his family, and his friends, we hold in prayer a Spiritual Space of comfort, light, and peace.
His service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at his wife and son's home church, St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 4090 Delaware. A reception will follow.
Paul contributed a poem to one of our monthly newsletters in 2008, and we share it here:
What's Our Name?
"The Pieces Within"
by Paul Judice
How many stars,
How many grains of sand,
How many pieces in just one man.
Are we all the same,
If so, what's our name?
Lying in a field looking up at the stars
Counting the close ones,
Wondering how many more,
There were no signs of war.
Sitting on the beach digging in the sand,
Listening to the waves,
Marching like a band,
They were holding my hand.
Standing in the street
Touching everyman,
Fitting all the pieces together that I can,
There is Peace within the pieces within.
How many stars,
How many grains of sand,
How many pieces in just one man.
Are we all the same,
If so, what's our name?
