Dragons: No Fly Zone
How An All-Star Whippet Spread His Legacy to Canada -- Without Leaving His Home in Southern California!
Dragon, a famous racing and fly-ball Whippet, enjoys his cozy life in sun-drenched San Diego County. With a great pad, endless beaches to roam, and a mom and dad who love him unconditionally, it's easy to imagine why this Dragon doesn't want to spread his wings anytime soon!
To avoid costly and dangerous shipping, Witness, a Canadian beauty, ordered cooled semen from Dragon.
Lucky for Dragon, Canine Cryobank is not far from his home near San Diego. Dragon's owner, Stephanie Minella, brought him in to our laboratory for a quick and easy Cooled Semen Collection in November, and then we shipped his semen, along with a full semen evaluation, to Witness, who lives in Eastern Canada.
Witness whelped nine healthy puppies on Friday, January 13th, 2012, and we could not be more proud to be part of the journey! Even with a birthday of Friday the 13th, these pups were born lucky! 2012 truly is the Year of the Dragon!
