Susan Jorgensen and Rambo, who under went stem cell therapy |
athletes, they often suffer muscle strain, ligament damage, arthritis from injuries, hip dysplasia, or inherited osteoarthritis. Up until now, these conditions have been regarded as chronic, and have been treated with steroids, daily pain medications, weeks of physical therapy, surgery, or euthanasia. Carol knew that the answers for a cure were hiding in stem cell science. She began monitoring stem cell research a decade ago, marveling at the seemingly miraculous cures for canine blindness, canine heart repair, regeneration of bones, and spinal repair.
Recently, at our California-based laboratory, Medivet-America processed stem cells from adipose fat of three patients. Dr. Pearson and staff from Pearson Animal Hospital in San Marcos, CA injected the stem cells into the painful arthritic hips, shoulders, and ankles. Rambo's owner Susan Jorgensen says, "Rambo seems to be getting stronger and sturdier. At least he's off his pain meds. On a good day, he often seems amazed and puzzled by his new strength. We're hopeful."
For 30 years, Carol Bardwick successfully processed sperm cells into suspended animation. She and her team continue with pride to freeze sperm cells, and are enthusiastic about adding stem cells to her repertoire of life restoration services.
