Love Uncovered: Belief Busting Teleclasses and new Telecourse!
What fears and doubts are stopping you from love?
I'm offering complimentary interactive teleclasses to help you identify and overcome limiting beliefs that have stopped you from having the love and joy you want in your life. This is an opportunity to look at how your beliefs have affected your life and relationships and learn how to transform old limits into new possibilities.

The free teleclasses will be Tuesdays, October 20th and October 27th at 5:30pm Pacific Time. Feel free to join us for one or both of these events. The two teleclasses will be similar but not identical. We'll meet for one hour on the telephone. This is an interactive event: you will benefit most by actively participating. The teleclasses are an introduction to my upcoming 12 week telecourse on Conscious Dating: Relationship Success Training for Singles.

Our Conscious Dating telecourse will meet via telephone for 12 weeks on Tuesdays starting Nov.3 with breaks for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. We may be able to meet at a different time on Tuesdays or Wednesdays if the 5:30pm time doesn't work for everyone.

I hope you are happy and well and enjoying October. All is well here - Steve and I have been savoring the last tomatoes in our garden, and enjoying hikes, concerts and gatherings with family and friends. No news yet on the baby front - but we're open to possibilities...

Overcoming Roadblocks to Love: Part 3:
Bust those Bogus Beliefs!
So far, we've explored how ambivalence can stop you in your tracks, and realized that if you want a partner in your life, it's time to make finding one a priority. If you'd like to meet someone special, there needs to be room in your home, schedule and heart (and that means letting go of anyone who isn't right for you).
Although these roadblocks we discussed before are all important, probably the most common and debilitating roadblocks to love are the beliefs we carry that keep us from being open to love. These are the critical things we say to ourselves like "I'm too old, late, poor etc. to attract a great partner. Maybe I should just get a cat." Sound familiar? What are some of the things you believe about yourself that might be getting in your way? Do you believe you are too much of something and not enough of something else? Maybe you believe you don't deserve love and happiness in your life. The problem is, most of us assume that these beliefs are automatically true without ever examining them.
So, let's do a little examination now. What's the worst thing you believe about yourself? I am _________. Is it really true? How can you be certain that it's true? How would you feel if you knew that it wasn't really true after all? How would you feel if you didn't believe this at all? Of course this impeding belief is not something that you ever consciously chose before, but now you have a choice. Do you want to keep it? What belief might serve you better?
In addition to beliefs about ourselves, we also have plenty of beliefs about relationships, such as "All the good ones are taken! I should just settle for whoever comes along and be glad I'm not alone." Or "Relationships are dangerous - I'll be rejected, hurt, abandoned, controlled or lost!" What do you believe about relationships? Relationships are ________________________. Once again, is it really true that all relationships are this way? How can you be certain that it's true? How would you feel if you knew that it wasn't really true after all? How would you feel if you didn't believe this anymore? Do you want to keep believing this? What belief might serve you better?
