Seattle Jewish Chorale Spring Concert
Raising Voices, Lifting Spirits: Music of Hope & Healing for Hard Times
With Will Dowd, Percussion; John Stiffler, clarinet; and Members of Israeli Folk Dance at the University of Washington.
Seattle Jewish Chorale presents a program to lift the spirit and lighten the heart! What helps us, as individuals and communities, to overcome life's challenges? Family, faith, humor--and, always, music and dance! The thirty voices of the chorale, accompanied by pianist Harumi Flesher, will perform songs in English, Yiddish, Ladino and Hebrew--melodies and words which have comforted and sustained the Jewish people throughout history, and can bring hope to all who are struggling through difficult times.
Co-sponsored by the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs, with support from Jewish Family Service. In the spirit of the concert 's theme, Seattle Jewish Chorale will donate a portion of the evening's proceeds to Jewish Family Service.

CIEE is seeking loving host families for high school exchange students who will arrive in the area in August. Open your heart and your home; share our community and Judaism. CIEE high school students stay with their host families for either 1 to 2 semesters (five or ten months) while attending your local high school. By having these students live with American families, we break down the barriers that divide people, not only across international borders, but also within our own community. CIEE students have their own funds for school lunches, clothing, and personal spending needs as well as medical insurance. The Middle East Peace Camp invites you to join in its eleventh year of camp, this summer from
July 9th to July 13th!
How does food shape our communities? This year at camp, by breaking bread together, we will build friendships and promote cross-cultural learning. We will explore the idea of food through cooking projects, sharing traditional foods, hospitality, growing our own food, and food justice projects. This year will hold an abundance of fun and food!

The MEPC is a grassroots coalition of Arab and Jewish communities and our friends. We are dedicated to embracing our common humanity while empowering youth through education, recreation, and leadership development. The camp takes a multifaceted approach to teaching the values of peacemaking through a focus on conflict resolution and human rights using creative art, science, music, dance, sports, and language activities. We plant seeds of friendship and fun while emphasizing our commonalities and celebrating our differences! Join our community for its eleventh year of camp at the UW Botanic Gardens.

The exhibition features more than 100 objects from King Tut's tomb and from ancient sites representing important rulers throughout 2,000 years of ancient Egyptian history.
