But the story differed profoundly from virtually all the mainstream American picture books preceding it: Peter, the little boy, was black...(continued).

Affordable Kosher - Delivering Savings, Quality and Convenience

It appears that there is a new kosher groceries store in Seattle! "Nosh Away Inc. founded Affordable Kosher as an online retailer dedicated to providing high quality kosher groceries at reasonable prices. In the past Nosh Away struggled to find quality products that were affordable and available on the West Coast for our catering services. After more than ten years, Nosh Away has built great relationships with some of the worlds best kosher purveyors. We decided to bring these great prices to the general public. Affordable Kosher operates as an independent grocery delivery business. We've created a new web site to showcase our fantastic products and make your buying experience easy."

Congregation Eitz Or
TORAH STUDY LED BY REB ARIK LABOWITZ:
Song of Songs - Longing for the Divine Lover
Mystics of all spiritual traditions speak of God in the language of a lover. The prime example of this relationship in Judaism is demonstrated in the Song of Songs. The early rabbis debated as to whether the Song of Songs would be included in the biblical canon, given the poem's erotic nature paired with its reputation of being sung in the local taverns. Nevertheless, Rabbi Akiva taught, "the whole Torah is holy, but the Song of Songs is the Holy of Holies." This class will take a closer look at this stunning and multifaceted text. The topic of Divine Lover as it is manifest in the Jewish tradition and other mystical traditions will be explored. More info: [email protected]. Congregation Eitz Or, Seattle's Jewish Renewal Community, www.eitzor.org. Congregation Eitz Or events are fragrance-free.
