The Youth of the Episcopal Diocese of Pittsburgh 
are Cordially Invited to Participate in the Consecration of the Rev. Dorsey McConnell 
as the next Bishop of Pittsburgh

 

The service will occur

 

   Saturday, the 20th of October, 2012

11 o'clock in the morning

Calvary Episcopal Church

315 Shady Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206

  

The Bishop-Elect has requested our youth to be part of this historic day as:

 

Acolytes:

must have experience

  Youth Actors:

of all ages and experience to participate in a short skit that will occur during the Consecration Eucharist.


  

Also, all the youth of the Diocese, including those not participating in the ceremony, are invited to a 

Pre-Consecration Youth Celebration

 on Friday, October 19, from 7:00 p.m. until midnight at 

St. Andrew's Highland Park, 5801 Hampton Street, Pgh, PA 15206.  

 

The party will feature food, Calvary Camp games, T-shirts, 

and a Eucharist celebrated by the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church, 

the Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori!


 

A rehearsal for Acolytes and Actors will occur at 

Calvary Church @ 2:00 p.m. on Sunday October 14.  

There will also be a brief rehearsal of the skit 

at the beginning of the party on October 19th.

 

Parents needing to accompany their child to the Consecration are asked to obtain tickets through their parish. Those unable to obtain tickets from their parish should contact the Rev. Canon James Shoucair at 412-364-2442.

 

RSVP deadline for all the events is Sunday, September 30th.

parent or guardian is available here.

 

We are also looking for families/parishes that may be willing to host youth or families who are traveling into town to for the big event. Please contact Vicky or Brent via email if you can help.
