A Benefit Recital with Sirena Huang, violin
$10 STUDENT RUSH TICKETS AVAILBLE |
This Thursday, May 10, 2012, violinist Sirena Huang will perform a benefit recital for the Fund for Access, The Hartt School Community Division's financial aid program.
$10 Student Rush Tickets will be made available on Wednesday and Thursday, May 9 and 10. Students must be prepared to present a school ID card. The Box Office allows one Rush Ticket per ID.
Student Rush Tickets may be purchased at the Box Office or over the phone. Student Rush Tickets cannot be purchased online.
SORRY, NO TICKET PRICE ADJUSTMENTS: The Box Office cannot make refunds on tickets purchased before May 9.
General admission tickets may be purchased for $35.00 at the Box Office, over the phone or anytime online.
To purchase tickets, please contact the University Box Office at (860) 768-4228 or (800) 274-8587. Box Office hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Tickets may be purchased anytime online here.

Join us for a Faculty Chamber Music Recital on May 13, at 2:00 PM in Berkman Recital Hall. The program features a broad range of repertoire. Performers include Hartt Community Division faculty and Dean Aaron Flagg! Admission is free.

Classical Music in the Afternoon: A Mother's Day Concert

Simsbury Public Library (725 Hopmeadow Street Simsbury)
The Hartt Community Division presents a free concert of classical music to celebrate Mother's Day. This performance is open to the public and free of charge. Jennifer Hunt (flute), Kayla Hermann (cello), and Fonyue Donn (piano) will perform Flute Trio No. 15 in G Major, Hob XV: 15, by Franz Joseph Haydn and Piece Romantique by Phillipe Gaubert. Meghan Ryan (soprano) will sing Chanson d'Amour, Green, and Dans les ruines d'une abbaye by Gabriel Faure. Andrew Kang (violin), Amy Kang (cello), and Mia Kang (piano) will play selections of Schubert's Piano Trio in B-flat major, Op. 99.

Stroll along Simsbury town center and enjoy painters, musicians, dancers, crafters and performers at the first-ever ArtWalk Simsbury! on Saturday, May 19, from 11 am to 5 pm. This FREE event, located at several indoor and outdoor venues, will feature more than 60 exhibitors, including potters, quilters, jewelers, photographers, sculptors, glass artists and woodworkers.
Activities will include lectures, demonstrations, book readings by local authors, several performances scheduled throughout the day, including performances by Hartt Community Division students from both the dance and music departments.
All proceeds from ArtWalk Simsbury! will benefit the town's ABC House, which provides housing and educational opportunities for teens from disadvantaged communities.
